Lotus Elise & Exige with Supercharged Honda Engine

Maidstone Sports Cars, Lotus specialists in Kent, have developed, what may be the ultimate usable Sports Car, by installing a SuperCharged Honda VTEC engine into the Lotus Elise & Exige. 300 bhp and stonking torque in a small & light chassis.

The challenge for QuickSilver was that the stresses & heat imposed on the exhaust system in such a small space meant that durability had to be ensured.

To prove that these rigorous demands would be met, Maidstone took QuickSilver’s prototype and attempted to test it to destruction over a few weeks of the hottest sustained temperatures the south of England had ever seen (daily into the 90’s) including a number of hard-driven circuit days. The QuickSilver exhaust met the challenge to provide a system that is lightweight, robust, free flowing, great looking and has an excellent crisp sound that remains civilised when necessary. Like a jet, by the time you hear it - it’s gone!
