Pegaso Z102

QuickSilver entrusted with reproducing Manifolds and Exhaust to Concours standard.

‘A staggering noise machine’ and ‘The ultimate in 50s exotica’ – describes Michael Sedgewick.

FVC Clasicos in Barcelona are restoring a rare Pegaso Z102 to ‘Concours’ condition.

Certainly a source of great Spanish pride, QuickSilver were proud to be entrusted with this portion of such an interesting project by FVC.

Only 125 immensely complex Pegasos were built in Spain between 1951 and 1958.

As part of this restoration programme FVC asked QuickSilver to accurately reproduce the original Pegaso designed manifolds and silencer section in the finest quality type 304 austenitic stainless steel, including all flanges. The challenges here involved the tapering pipes on the headers and the internal construction of the silencer.

QuickSilver’s engineering team faithfully copied the design of the manifolds and silencer to produce a visually stunning system.

For a car that must be as shiny underneath as above, the mirror polished manifolds stand proudly like a strong rib-cage and the silencer reproduced in outline detail. An exhaust system that should still be looking good in another 50 years.
