With 1001 BHP and a top speed of over 250 mph (400 kph) the Bugatti Veyron is billed as the ultimate Sportscar, with the biggest numbers.

 

We don’t know about that, but we are certain that with a 16 cylinder engine and 4 turbochargers, the Bugatti Veyron exhaust system has the potential to provide the ultimate exhaust sound.

 

The original exhaust is all Titanium and weighs just 19 kilos (42 lbs) but the sound produced has to meet all modern noise regulations and leaves some drivers unsatisfied, especially when they consider the possibilities.

 

Regardless of your opinion on traffic noise, the sensation of sound is a huge element in driving a Sports car.  Surely only the most ‘anti-cars’ would describe a Bugatti W16 engine as noise pollution, most drivers will be lucky to see or hear it once in their lifetime.

 

QuickSilver were commissioned to produce a Sports Exhaust system that provided a more appropriate sound for the Veyron which is shown below.

This QuickSilver system also only weighs 11.6 kilos a saving of 7.4 kilos and is constructed from polished stainless steel as it will visable when the spoiler is raised on the car. Below is an example of how the OE system looks.
