‘1950’s’ TR59S Sport Speciale

In Florida some friends were discussing the financial and cosmetic values of some of the world’s most beautiful cars.

This turned to the merits of building a one-off car that could combine all the best design elements of various 1950s Italian Sports Racers.

And it was done >  A substantial six-figure budget enabled the Sport Speciale,  using cues from Ferrari, Lancia and Maserati and perhaps a little Aston Martin?

The attention to detail was total, using many original 50’s components combined with modern, where appropriate.

A new BMW engine was restyled to look a 1950s Ferrari powerplant.

‘It’s an 8000 rpm screaming V12’ says Jason Wenig, the builder. ‘You get this thing past 5000 rpm and your religion changes’.

Quicksilver are proud to have produced the silencers that provide the correct and important period sound.
